"Lunch atop a Skyscraper" is a famous black-and-white photograph taken in 1932 during the construction of the RCA Building (now the GE Building) in Rockefeller Center in New York City. The photograph depicts eleven construction workers having lunch on a girder high above the city, with no safety harnesses or other safety equipment visible. It has become an iconic image of the construction of skyscrapers and the spirit of the American worker during the Great Depression.
