Ron DeSantis

Ron DeSantis is an American politician who serves as the Governor of Florida. Born on September 14, 1978, in Jacksonville, Florida, he is a prominent figure in the Republican Party and has garnered national attention for his policies and political stances.

Ron DeSantis graduated from Harvard University in 2001 and later earned a law degree from Harvard Law School in 2005. Before entering politics, he served as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) officer in the U.S. Navy. He was deployed to Iraq as an advisor to the U.S. Navy SEAL commander in Fallujah, Ramadi, and the rest of Al Anbar province.

DeSantis began his political career in 2012 when he was elected as the U.S. Representative for Florida's 6th congressional district, serving in the House of Representatives from 2013 to 2018. During his time in Congress, he was known for his conservative positions on issues such as immigration, healthcare, and taxes.
